Why I want to meet Lawrence Ferlinghetti
because he’s Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
because he’s one of the best poets in the entire history of poetry.
I think- enough said.
because he’s Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
because he’s one of the best poets in the entire history of poetry.
I think- enough said.
He changed my life
he changed my writing
he changed my views
he changed me.
Not so he could explain, but just so I could experience the thrill of sitting in the same vicinty as Fredrich Nietzsche and maybe talking about the birds outside or something.
because he’s the most genius satirist. Because he’s gotten a cult following of people who take him so seriously, and I can just see him at home laughing. Because he’s an effing genius.
Because of his process. Because of his style. Because of the way he has changed me and my writing, forever.
Wilco came to town on my birthday and it changed my life. I’ve always loved Tweedy & Wilco, but seeing them life was like, a revolution on stage.
I have been studying writing/poetry for 5 years and I’ve loved writing/poetry for my whole life. Tweedy just inspires me in a million ways- his poetry is innovative and unique; and, I know that people say that all the time, but I think that anyone who reads Tweedy knows that it’s true.
And I’d like to get my chance to tell him that.
